The Wilde Puppy Programme

The Wilde Puppy Programme

Bringing a puppy into your life can feel utterly overwhelming, stressful and exhausting, with so much information being thrown at puppy parents and so much pressure to get it right. But here at Wilde Dogs, our puppy training is designed to give you clarity from the very start, helping you raise a calm, confident, and well-mannered dog while building a strong foundation of trust and connection from day one.

When you prioritise the relationship and build good habits early, that’s how you really set you and your puppy up for success.

Why choose The Wilde Puppy Programme

A tailored start for your puppy

Every puppy is different, and no puppy is a blank slate. Whether it’s genetics, environment, experiences, maternal influence or more, all of these things can and will influence your puppy’s behaviour. We begin with an initial assessment and create a simple, structured plan that fits your puppy’s breed, temperament, and your lifestyle. From toilet training and sleep routines to early recall and lead skills, everything is designed to set you both up for success.

Guidance through every stage

Puppies grow and change quickly, and so do their behaviours. You’ll get ongoing support as new challenges arise, whether it’s biting, jumping, overexcitement, or distractions outside. We help you stay one step ahead at every stage.

Hands-on coaching that builds confidence early

In-person sessions allow us to guide you in real time, showing you exactly how to handle situations as they happen. This gives you clarity, builds your confidence, and helps your puppy learn faster and more effectively. With WhatsApp support on the go, you can get live feedback even when we’re not with you.

Building the right habits from day one

Instead of fixing problems later, we focus on preventing them. You’ll learn how to reward the behaviours you want, create clear boundaries, and avoid common mistakes that can lead to issues down the line.

Strengthening your bond from the start

Training puppies isn’t about obedience, it’s about connection. As you learn how to communicate clearly and understand your puppy, you’ll build trust, create positive experiences, and develop a relationship based on calm guidance and mutual understanding. This makes obedience later on not only easier, but much more enjoyable.

Positive, science-based methods

We use modern, reward-based training that encourages your puppy to learn with confidence and enthusiasm. No fear, no force. Just clear communication and consistent reinforcement that helps your puppy feel secure and eager to engage.

Designed around your life

Your training plan fits into your daily routine, making it realistic and easy to maintain. The focus is on practical skills you’ll use every day, ensuring progress that lasts as your puppy grows.

QUALIFICATIONS

I have nearly 4 years experience working with dogs of all shapes, breeds, sizes and ages. In 2021/2022 I completed my Puppy School Tutor Training under the supervision of Gwen Bailey, one of the UK’s most respected dog behaviourists. During this course and throughout my years assisting with Surrey and South London Dog Training School, I have learnt about basic obedience including recall and loose lead walking but more importantly I have learnt the way in which dogs communicate with us and each other. This helps me to understand how your dog is feeling and support them accordingly which builds trust and confidence. Most recently I became a fully qualified trainer with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) and a member of the UK Dog Behaviour and Training Charter. I am fully insured and trained in canine first aid so your pup is in safe hands with me.
